Officially, the MicroLab (μLab) acts as a general purpose computing facility open to electrical engineers only. The μLab facility contains approximately a dozen operational computers running Windows XP that have installed on them the following programs for student use:

• MATLAB
• COMSOL
• Cygwin

The computing environments of all other EE labs are maintained by the μLab staff and the μLab staff also operates the licensing servers for special-purpose applications.
